Every long road in the Christmas story ends with a light standing still over a child.
"When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was." — Matthew 2:9 (KJV)
The story behind it: After a long road, the star they first saw in the east went before them again, and stopped over a child. The nativity scene puts the travelers and the stable in one picture, as Christians have drawn it for centuries.
The print: Hand-carved folk linocut of travelers and camels on the road to a lantern-lit stable, under one great star, in ink, bone, sand, midnight navy and Devine gold, with the verse and our small Devine Designs Co. mark in the bottom panel. Printed on 200 gsm premium matte paper in 12x18 or 16x24 inches. Made to order just for you. Frame not included.
A gift that means something: for the one who has been on a long road this year, the family that sets out the nativity every December, or your own wall from Advent to Epiphany. Pairs with our Though Thou Be Little print.
